On and Tifosi Sports Go Beyond for Mandela Day

Mandela Day has become a fixture in our calendars, and we enjoy giving back to our community. This year, Tifosi Sports and On South Africa have been able to bring smiles to the faces of a group of underprivileged girls with some stunning On shoes.

Tifosi Sports and On South Africa donated 9 pairs of On shoes to The House Group, through Greenlight Education.

The House Group is a home for vulnerable girls between the ages of 10 and 16, all of whom come from abusive and neglectful homes. The House Group provides a safe haven for the girls and ensures that they pursue their education, receive nutritious meals and have a secure environment where they can grow and heal.

Greenlight Education is a non-profit organisation with its focus on STEM education, and is involved in providing life skills and development programmes. Greenlight Education has provided a number of various life skills programmes for The House Group, and has also secured and facilitated donations of clothing and food for the girls under their care.

The shoes were handed to Tammy Pillay, director of Greenlight Education on the 13^th of July 2023, for her to distribute among the girls at The House Group.

The girls received their On shoes on 16 July 2023 and were overjoyed to be walking on clouds! We know that this will make a big difference to them and spur them on to go beyond.

We stand behind all kinds of champions: not just the ones who are athletes or competitors. The girls at The House Group are champions, and we are grateful to be involved in going beyond for them.
