Get Kelvin to Ironman World Championship

The ironman race is one of the most challenging athletic endeavours. This gruelling competition kicks off with a 3.9km swim, followed by a 180km bike race and concludes with competitors running a full marathon. This is most certainly nowhere near your garden-variety fun run. This is a test of stamina, endurance and persistence.
Kelvin Steyn is an athlete who has qualified for the Ironman World Championship to be held in October in Hawaii. Steyn only started on his Ironman journey in 2019, and has progressed in leaps and bounds. While he is ready to compete, he also needs to raise a total of R65000 in order to get to the race.

John and Judy Collins created the Ironman race in 1977 specifically with endurance athletes in mind. Twenty years later, in 1997, para-athletes also started to take part in the triathlon, with Australian John MacLean taking the win with his hand-cycle bike and wheelchair race.

This year the famous event returns to where it all started: Hawaii where Kelvin Steyn will be testing his athletic abilities in his On shoes and sportswear.
