Addo Elephant Trail Run: Wild Trails, Rugged Beauty

The majestic African bush is home to a vibrant array of wildlife. The call of the fish eagle, the rustle of buck through the long grass, and the famed Big Five—rhino, leopard, lion, African buffalo, and the mighty African bush elephant—all converge within the boundaries of Addo Elephant Park, South Africa’s third largest national park.

This pristine wilderness also hosts one of the country’s most spectacular races: the Addo Elephant Trail Run. This event takes runners through a blend of rugged terrain, Jeep tracks, rivers, and mountain paths—offering breathtaking views and the rare chance to spot wildlife, all while tackling technical climbs through the Zuurberg mountains and lush valleys.
