Since the introduction of On running shoes to the South African market, hundreds of runners have had the chance to experience what sets On running shoes apart for their competitors.
Choosing the right running shoes can significantly influence your training, performance and post-run recovery, which is why On has tasked itself with providing only the best running shoes to its customers.
On recently announced the introduction of a number of new running shoes to the market. Here is a quick breakdown of the new shoes that might just see you running to the stores to feel the power of On for yourself.
On CloudFlow (now available in Moss/Lime or Malibu/Curacao)
The sole of the On CloudFlow is fitted with 18 independent cushions. Made from On’s unique zero-gravity EVA foam, these cushions hit the ground exactly where you need them. Combined with On’s patented Speedboard, a responsive flex and rocker that promotes flow-motion, the natural rolling process is encouraged, while explosive take-offs aren’t the exception – they’re the rule. First-layer in-built socks make for unequalled comfort that feels just as good on the road or track as it feels off it, and an antimicrobial treatment ensures long-lasting freshness, even after many runs. Engineered and adaptive mesh on the upper of the shoe incorporates the latest weave technology to allow breathability and support.
Whether you’re looking for a daily trainer or a faster paced running shoe, the On Cloud X is the shoe for you. A neutral shoe, the Cloud X is highly responsive, and features Cloudtec pods and a full-length Speedboard plate to propel you forward. If it’s comfort you’re after, a dual-density sock liner, new-generation inner materials and a seamless shoe tongue make all the difference. The upper of the shoe features breathable engineered mesh for breathability and support.
Cloudflyer (available in Blue/White or Salmon/Ink)
The moment you put on the Cloudflyer, you’ll get to experience the unprecedented comfort of the inner’s dual-density sockliner. An adaptive V-moulded heel cap and state-of-the-art memory foam gives the heel a snug fit and added stability, while the patterned cloud elements on the sole make for stable, natural transitions. The Cloudflyer will have you flying, but stays securely in place due to the star lacing system, which is adjustable and precisely engineered.
CloudAce (available in Rust/Shadow)
The CloudAce’s sole features On’s most advanced application of CloudTec® yet, and provides the ultimate cushioning, without slowing you down. Zero-gravity clouds on the heel of the sole and the forefoot’s rubber landing zone takes care of the push-off and the landing of every stride. A liquid-injected Speedboard and extra-wide design takes you into turbo mode, without compromising on stability. Super-soft and snug support is at the order of the day with the CloudAce, and precision-moulded 3D heel pads reduce slippage and movement inside the shoe. Your foot is allowed to breathe thanks to the upper’s sublimely engineered sandwich mesh.
Cloud (now available in Mulberry/Velvet)
The Cloud running shoe has evolved thanks to structural innovations like increased grip pads, an updated central channel and re-shaped cloud elements. Still the world’s lightest fully cushioned running shoe, the patented CloudTec® sole ensures your run is smoother than ever, whatever terrain you’re running on. The latest advancements in material design and shaping is used to create a V-molded heel, which gives you a snug fit, but still provides freedom of movement. The easy-entry speed-lace system has become a trademark of the shoes, and allows you to slip on the shoe without having to tie the laces. Despite this, On’s Cloud stays securely in place on any run due to this hallmark of Swiss engineering. The fine dual-density sockliners that the Cloud is fitted with provides an unmatched step-in feel that makes this shoe one of the most comfortable on the market today.
