Introducing Tifosi’s Ambassadors: Nicola Biani

Tifosi’s call for entries to become an ambassador for some of our brands was met with great enthusiasm and hundreds of applicants. Tifosi was thrilled to announce the final list of 29 ambassadors in April, and now it is our pleasure to introduce you to the guys and girls who represent Tifosi’s brands when they compete in numerous events across the country and abroad.

In this article, as a part of a series about our new ambassadors, we introduce Nicola Bianca Biani.

What is your favourite sport?

Triathlon.

What do you love most about your choice of sport?

I love the fact that there are three disciplines, and that I get to do it every day. I’m grateful for the friends I have made and enjoy the family vibe you get in the whole sport. It’s very competitive, but everyone is looking out for everyone and we love to see each other doing well.

When did you start participating in this sport and what made you get into it?

I did my first sprint distance triathlon at the age of 8. My stepdad got me into it. I was too young to comprehend what I was doing. Every morning, he would wake me up before school, and we would go for a cycle or a run. After school and before dinner, we would go to the gym and swim, and soon I was doing races. But never the kiddies races – I missed that whole section! I loved it so much.

What is your favourite piece of Compressport apparel and why do you use it?

So many to choose from! The calf sleeves are really the best – I use them to recover after I run, or sometimes while I run or race. I also love the sun visors! Ah, the colours are just the best. The head bands, too. The whole range, actually!

How do you stay motivated – especially during the winter and over holidays?

I am driven by results and by doing better, bettering myself, and doing MY best. I wake up to LIFE every day, and that motivates me so much. I love everything about winter – the smell, the cold, the darkness – so I am very happy to be up and training. I “struggle” more in summer than in winter. I love what I do – training is my favourite part of my day. I need motivation to rest!

What advice would you give someone who has just started their fitness journey?

Don’t give up. Don’t get taken by what others are doing. DO YOU. Focus on your own goals and celebrate your achievements. Everyone else has their own journey, and sometimes we get side-tracked because we are watching others too much. Don’t let that get to you. Follow your dreams and be inspired and motivated by your own self.
