Tifosi Sports likes to get behind the everyday champions in our lives. We all have that one person in our lives who is prepared to go above and beyond to help the people in their communities, people who make a difference in the lives of others, often without even realising it.

Each month, Tifosi Sports, which stocks On Performance Running Shoes, helps you honour the heroes in your life through their Count on Me competition. All you need to do to nominate someone in your community who is making a difference by clicking this link: [insert link] and they can stand a chance of winning a brand-new pair of On Performance Shoes!

Here are what some people said about the champions they nominated in the Count on Me Competition:

Olwethu Mankayi nominated Zibele Bala, who was one of our winners. Bala is a security guard and firefighter who works tirelessly to keep people safe. He works as a security guard, volunteers as a firefighter and still manages to complete ultra-marathons and trail runs. A true hero, indeed!

People have responded enthusiastically to our call for everyday heroes. Other nominations include Nonhlanhla Zikalala who was nominated by Melissa du Plessis. Nonhlanhla works as Melissa’s domestic worker who helps her with everything she can’t manage while she’s at work. Nonhlanhla is like a mom to Melissa’s kids.

Christel-Michel Kruger nominated Phindile Mogola, her domestic worker who raised her two children alone after leaving an abusive marriage. Phindi is always positive, caring, and compassionate, and sees the best in others.

Khumo Seloane nominated Pule Ngakantsi, who loves to stay active by waking up every morning for a run or walk

Emlyn Thomas nominated Randall Thomas, an admin clerk who walks to work every day. Despite the long walk, he always arrives at work with a smile on his face.

Lucinda Faroo nominated Allistair John Bingham, her maintenance and gardening expert. Allistair has a kind and hardworking personality and always manages to fix everything that needs fixing at her house. He does an excellent job in the garden whenever she needs it sorted.

Charl Hartwig nominated Joy Nkosi, his domestic worker who helps take care of his 19-month-old son. Joy has a special bond with the child, and he only likes her to feed him. They are like two peas in a pod, and Charl is grateful for all the help and love she provides for his family.

Heroes and champions, we salute you! Who will you nominate? Your gardener, au pair, domestic worker, security guard and even your petrol attendant could be the next in line to win.

Our heroes need to be shown what they mean to us. And what better way to do that than to tell the world what they mean to you and put them in line to win a pair of our exceptional On performance running shoes?
