These easy yoga asanas will ground and energise you for the dayThe Social Media Company
The ancient practice of yoga has benefited those that incorporate it into their daily lives for thousands of years. While providing a legitimate workout, the positive aspects of practicing yoga aren’t just physical – it also helps to foster mental calmness and teaches us to breathe better.
Yoga instructor Anshuka Parwani recommends a simple 15-minute morning routine that sets the tone for a productive and clear-headed day, and it only requires doing five asanas (yoga postures) for two to three minutes a day.
The five asanas in question are the Sukhasana, Anjaneyasana, Bhujangasana, Pavanmuktasana and Natarajasana.
Check out the videos below for a detailed explanation of how to do each pose. Hold each of the five yoga postures for two to three minutes, then move on to the next.
Sukhasana (The Easy Pose)
Anjaneyasana (Low Lunge)
Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose)
Pavanmuktasana (Wind-Relieving Pose)
Natarajasana (Lord of the Dance Pose)
If you haven’t tried yoga, yet, this is a great introduction that doesn’t take up too much time. Namaste!
